Advisory Board
The Advisory Board Chairman for the 2016-2017 year is Samantha Kobrin. For a list of all other advisers, please click here.
Advising is a gentle art. Characteristics of a Kappa adviser include:
- desire to work with college-age women
- willingness to devote time to guide, nurture and help the chapter members grow— academically, socially, intellectually and individually as leaders
- belief in the Fraternity and its standards
- maturity, with a strong sense of values and displaying sound judgment and flexibility
- sense of humor.
Advisers assist the chapter in all aspects of chapter management. An adviser is also a link to the House Board and the Fraternity, fostering communication and all the Fraternity stands for.
The Advisory Board is comprised of alumnae advisers to each of the chapter officers, the standing committees, the PanHellenic Delegate as well as the Chapter Council. Its members serve in and advisory capacity without a vote. The term of office is one year. And adviser should serve for at least two years in the same position and whenever possible rotate adviser positions at intervals (See Fraternity Policy III, Section 2, Item 1)..
